On 3rd March 2026, the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rachel Reeves, delivered her Spring Statement to Parliament.
In this document we have set out the latest announcements and the related figures.
The statement included a strong political message, with the Chancellor highlighting three areas where the government believes progress is being made:
Cost of living: The OBR forecasts falling inflation, borrowing and debt interest, alongside rising investment.
Borrowing: Borrowing is expected to be around £18 billion lower than forecast in the Autumn, with this year’s figure set to be the lowest in six years.
Economic growth: GDP per person is now forecast to grow 5.6% over the Parliament, higher than previously expected.
