When can you deregister from VAT?

You must deregister from VAT if you’re no longer eligible to be VAT registered.

If you stop trading or join a VAT group you MUST deregister.

You must deregister from VAT within 30 days if you stop being eligible or you may be charged a penalty.

If your Vatable turnover falls below the deregistration threshold then you can ASK HM Revenue and Customs to dereister you from VAT.

If you have any questions or would like to explore this further then just get in touch.
